Meet Dean DiPietro

Retired FBI Special Agent / FBINA Session 291 / 27 Years Federal Investigative Experience / Due Diligence & Background Investigations / Fraud Awareness & Elder Fraud Prevention Speaker

Dean J. DiPietro recently retired as a Special Agent (SA) with the FBI after 27 years, most recently assigned to a White-Collar Crime squad in the Newark Division’s Atlantic City Resident Agency. The squad primarily investigates complex financial crimes, health care fraud and public corruption. During his career, SA DiPietro had also worked numerous other violations, including organized crime, gangs, money laundering, violent crime/major offenders, drug trafficking organizations, fugitives, human trafficking and crimes against children.

SA DiPietro served as Task Force Commander for the FBI’s South Jersey Violent Incident/Gang Task Force for 9 years and was also Task Force Coordinator for the FBI’s Financial Crimes/Money Laundering Task Force. SA DiPietro was an active member of the Financial Crimes Response Team, designed for the rapid deployment of investigative personnel to support large-scale Financial Crimes investigations, generally the most complex corporate fraud scandals resulting in high-dollar losses. SA DiPietro also served as an Employee Assistance Program Peer. SA DiPietro retired as the FBI’s top presenter on the topic of Elder Fraud Awareness and Prevention and continues to provide professional presentations on the topic.

Mr. DiPietro earned a Master of Business Administration and a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration, both from Duquesne University in Pittsburgh, PA.

Currently, Mr. DiPietro is the Principal Owner of IGY6 Consulting LLC, a full-service investigative and legal consulting business.
